Maples, a sophomore slotback from Philadelphia, Pa., had 15 carries for 146 yards. Maples scored on a 23-yard run in the third quarter to make the score Army 38, Tulane 6. Maples also had a long run of 39 yards during the contest.
DEFENSE: Josh Jackson
Jackson, a junior defensive back from Lawrenceville, Ga., had three solo tackles during the game. In the second quarter Jackson intercepted a Ryan Griffin pass at the Tulane 49 and returned the ball to the Green Wave 13 which set up Army's second score of the game.
UNSUNG HERO AWARD: Colin Linkul
Linkul, a freshman linebacker from St. Louis, Mo., had two sacks during the game for 10 yards.
