The Warriors struck first when the Army defense held them to a 32-yard field goal by Nolan Miranda 3-0.
Soon after Hawaii got the ball back. They didn't waste any time getting on the board again when Timmy Chang threw a 59-yard touchdown pass to Jason Rivers. Hawaii led 10-0.
Army turnovers hurt the Black Knights. Zac Dahman threw an interception which, was returned by Kelvin Millhouse 28 yards for a touchdown to put Hawaii up 17-0.
In the start of the second quarter, the Black Knights couldn't stop Hawaii's powerful offense. Timmy Chang ran in for a 2-yard touchdown run. Hawaii soon got the ball back and capitalized again when Mike Bass ran in for a 6-yard touchdown run to extend the lead to 31-0.
With 44 secounds left in the first half, Brian Hill intercepted a Hawaii pass and returned it 79 yards for the first Army touchdown 31-7.
Six minutes into the third quarter Chad Owens caught a 2-yard touchdown pass. The Army offense answered soon after when Zac Dahman threw a 59-yard pass to Carlton Jones to bring the Hawaii lead down to 38-14.
The Hawaii offense continued to pound the Black Knights when John West ran for a 5-yard touchdown run. Army again answered big, this time on the ground, when Carlton Jones ran for a 43-yard touchdown run 45-21.
In the fourth quarter the Warriors scored when Timmy Chang threw a 32-yard pass to John West. John West scored again on a 9-yard touchdown run to make the score 59-21 Hawaii.
Army's offense continued to fight as Carlton Jones ran for a 1-yard touchdown to make the score 59-28.
After the Black Knights bye they gear up for Navy (7-4), who are coming off a win over Central Michigan.
Hawaii hosts Alabama (7-4) next before their conference finale against Boise State.
