Army, Akron search for starting quarterbacks

Looks like Army isn't the only one with a heated battle for the starting quarterback job. While Carson Williams and David Pevoto battle for the job at West Point, Carlton Jackson and Chris Jacquemain are waging a spirited fight at Akron. Army takes on Akron in its season-opener on Sept. 1 in Cleveland.

Pevoto appears to be a step ahead of Williams in Army's race. He completed 18-of-24 passes for 190 yards with one interception in the Black Knights' first scrimmage. Williams completed 9-of-12 passes for 41 yards. The Akron race seems a lot more tighter.
