PASSING OFFENSE
D
Army completed 7 of 12 passes for 50 yards. Not much to write home about. Both
Carson Williams
and
Kevin Dunn
struggled throwing the ball all night.
RUSHING OFFENSE
D
Army ran for 97 yards for the game, averaging over 4-yards a carry. However,
Ian Smith
got the majority of those yards on Army's last drive. Smith picked up 50 yards rushing on just 3 carries. Maybe we'll see more of this guy.
PASSING DEFENSE
C
Not too bad but Rutgers didn't pass much, they didn't need to. Nice job by
Josh Mitchell
getting the interception and giving Army fans something to cheer about.
RUSHING DEFENSE
F
Absolute domination by Rutgers and Ray Rice. The scarlet Knights slashed through the Army defense all night and finished with
Navy
like rushing numbers, over 400 total yards worth.
SPECIAL TEAMS
B-
Owen Tolson
did another outstanding job punting, finishing with 43-yard average per punt on 7 punts. Tolson had a long punt of 50 yards. Army missed an extra point after the touchdown.
COACHING
D
Not much has changed since the beginning of the season. Army is still struggling on offense and the once respectable defense has regressed. Well coached teams get better as the season progresses but it might be that Brock is playing more young players as the season progresses since Army will graduate a ton of seniors after this season.
OVERALL GRADE
D
Another embarrassment on national television. Soldiers around the world deserve a winning football program to root for between fights.
