Army Snares Georgia QB

Posted Feb 6, 2008

If he's as good as his dad, the Army football team just got itself a pretty good recruit.

Mount Pisgah High (Ga.) quarterback Taylor Hall, son of former star Army signal caller Leamon Hall, has committed to West Point. Leamon Hall starred at Army from 1974-77.

He graduated with a school-record 5,502 passing yards. Zac Dahman broke that record in 2005 after nearly three decades. Leamon Hall, 51, is now a corporate executive, living in Atlanta.

Leamon Hall's father-in-law, Homer Smith, coached Army from 1974-78, going 21-33-1 (.391).
