AUSTIN-- The Army Black Knights scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to stun No. 2 seed Texas State, 7-4. Army will next play the loser of the Texas-Boston College game, which will be played later this evening at 7 p.m. ET.

Trailing, 4-2, at the start of the eighth, Army benefited from two throwing errors from Texas State during the inning and RBI singles from J.P. Polchinski, David Darnell, Joey Henshaw. A sacrifice fly Andy Ernesto also contributed to the cause.

Henshaw also had a solo homer in the third inning.

Army's Tyler Anderegg pitched an inning and got the win. Kevin McKague picked up the save. Lance Loftlin picked up the loss for Texas State.

Sophomore pitcher Ben Koenigsfeld scattered seven hits over seven good innings of throwing but Army trailed when he left the field.

Army improves to 35-20. Texas State's season ends with a 41-17 record.
