So what's keeping this great player from getting offers?
Unfortunately, despite his exploits on the field and impressive resume Niemann goes to small school. According to Chadwick's official website the private school has just 362 high school students.
"I'm just trying to get out to as many camps as I possibly can and get looked at...I don't have a lot of exposure," said Niemann. He's already camped at UCLA
and this weekend camped at Stanford
One school that has shown a lot of interest in Niemann is Army. "I'd say Army has shown the most interest of any schools. I have gotten an lot of letters and been hearing from their coaches a lot," commented the Southern California prep star.
Coach Payam Saadat, the defensive coordinator, he came to my school," said the 6-foot-1 receiver. "He just met with me and basically said they'd love to have me there. He said I could go out there on an official or unofficial visit this summer," added Niemann.
The big question Army fans are thinking is what does this young man think about serving his country as an Army officer? "I'm open to it. I'll probably go up there next fall and just look into it all and check it out," answered Niemann when asked that very question. Niemann said that Coach Saadat also described the many great opportunities he'd have as an Army Cadet and officer.
Army is not the only school interested in Niemann. In addition to Stanford and UCLA, Niemann has heard from Cal Poly, Princeton and Dartmouth. In fact, he is going to Dartmouth for a visit this weekend. "Hopefully Dartmouth will offer me this upcoming weekend."
