Reggie Nesbit talks Army

Army is continuing to bring in fine linebackers. The Army staff picked up an outstanding commit a couple weeks ago when Indianapolis product Reggie Nesbit decided West Point was the place he wanted to be. Look inside to find out full details of Nesbit's play on the field and why he chose the Black Knights.

"I really liked the atmosphere of West Point. Just the way the people are and how the interact with each other really show that it is a family atmosphere." said Reggie Nesbit who committed to Army on January 19th. Nesbit said he had visited Army over the summer and made an official visit in December. Nesbit said he also admired the respect that Cadets, teachers and coaches had for each other and the brotherhood and trust that exists there.

Being from a military family also had a strong influence on Nesbit's decision. His father and other members of his family served in the Army. "I feel blessed to have the opportunity to serve and be a part of something as great an officer in the United States Military," said Hoosier State star.

Nesbit, who says that the Army staff plans to utilize him as a linebacker, feels that his speed and on the field intelligence make him a great player, "I think my speed and my ability to read the play and anticipate what type of play is going to be run are key to what make me a great player."

During his senior season Nesbit had an impressive 119 tackles, two interceptions, a sack and two defensive touchdowns. As a tight end he had 32 receptions for 629 yards and nine touchdowns. After the season he was named Indianapolis Crossroads Conference All-Conference as a linebacker, Indiana All-Marion County as an athlete and Indiana Super Team as an Athlete.

An outstanding student, Nesbit will was named to the Indiana Academic All-State team and will be a direct admit to the United States Military Academy.

He also had interest from Navy and Notre Dame.
