A.J. McGovern has committed to Army per a report on ESPN.com. He is projected to play center at the next level. He was believed to have committed earlier at the 2008 Army-Navy game but has now re-affirmed that committment with the Rich Ellerson coaching staff. After the 2008 season McGovern earned several honors including being named the Citizen's Voice Top Prospects, the Citizen's Voice All-Conference, and Coach's All-Conference.
